Police apprehend a suspect in relation to the murder of Noor

Police have arrest a man for the involvement in the murder of Noor Adam Hassanfulhu who was killed near IGM hospital.

Police said today that they arrested 18-year-old Is-haaq Naadir.

He was arrested today around 1:30 p.m. by the Ga.A. Viligili Police department following a lead he was in the island of Kodey in the same atoll.

While a notice was put out about three people wanted by the Police regarding the murder with a sharp object that took place in front of IGM hospital, two of those people have turned themselves in to the Police.

Mohamed Sameer, 19, and Mohamed Shamlu, 18, both turned themselves to the Police at the Police HQ at Shaheed Hussain Adam Building.

Noor Adam was died while undergoing treatment at 3:30 a.m. after he was attacked that night, on 28.

Noor’s family told Sun Media that Noor was murdered after he took the victim of another attack in from of the Euro Store on Chaandhanee Magu earlier that night to the hospital.

Noor’s family said that he took the injured man in the attack in front of Euro Store around 11:45 p.m. to the hospital with some other people in the area.

After taking the injured man to the hospital, Noor and some other people were standing outside the Emergency Gate of IGMH when two people came on motorcycles and the man on the back seat attacked Noor with a knife to his neck and side on the torso. And when the people in the area raised their voices and the Police inside the security booth at the Emergency Gate came out, the assailants had left their weapon and fled the scene.
