Drugs found inside a house in Male

In a Police operation last night, dogs were used to find drugs inside a house in Male’ City.

This operation took place three days after the Home Minister, Umar Naseer approved using dogs in Police Operations.

The drugs were found last night at H. Carnation Lodge.

No information about the operation has been released as of yet. Police said that dogs were used in the operation and a press conference would be held today in which further details would be shared.

A total of 16 dogs have been brought into the country to take part in Police operations. While the Maldivian K9 unit has been named “Faaragema”, Police has asked the National Language Academy to provide individual names for the dogs.
