Minor arrested with a large quantities of illegal drugs

A minor has been arrested in Ihavandhoo of Haa.Alif. Atoll with a large quantities of illegal drugs.

Police said that they found 150 cellophane packets suspected of containing drugs on the 15-year-old.

He was arrested in a special operation after the suspect took a paper box from Male’ to Ihavandhoo on a boat and stashed it at an abandoned house near some trees. Drugs were found inside the box when it was searched after his arrest.

Ihavandhoo Magistrate Court has extended the custody of the minor by 15 days to continue the investigation with him in police custody.
