The issuance of the verdict in the charge of terrorism against the former Defence Minister Tholhath Ibrahim Kaleyfaanu and the former Colonel of MNDF, Mohamed Ziyad in the unlawful arrest of the Chief Judge of the Criminal Court, Abdulla Mohamed has been set for tomorrow night.
An official from the Criminal Court said that the verdict will be issued at 10 p.m. tomorrow night.
An MNDF officer who testified against Tholhath said that Tholhath would take responsibility for the arrest of Judge Abdulla even if he’s sentenced to 30 years in prison.
The hearing for issuing the verdict against them has been scheduled before and cancelled.
Former president Mohamed Nasheed has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for the arrest of Judge Abdulla and current Defence Minister, Moosa Ali Jaleel, has been found innocent by the Criminal Court.
