High Court sentences has to go to appeal at the Supreme Court in 60 days

Supreme Court has decided that a sentence from the High Court has 60 days from the date of sentencing to go to an appeal at the Supreme Court.

The open letter issued by the Supreme Court tonight said that the law of the Supreme Court dictates that the appeal has to be presented to the Supreme Court within 60 from the end of a trial.

The letter also said that the 60 days would be counted excluding public holidays.

The Supreme Court has previously decided that the cases from the lower courts have to be appealed at the High Court within 10 days from the end of trial.
