Fire breaks out onboard Mifco vessel at Colombo dockyard

A fire has broken out onboard a fishing vessel of Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (Mifco) at a dockyard in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Logistics Officer of Mifco Anwar Sadhath told Sun Online that the incident took place at around 10:30 a.m. today (Monday, April 06, 2015).

No one was hurt.

The fire was controlled by crew members shortly after it broke out, and the cause will be investigated, said Anwar.
