Nihan: Democracy is not in jail, democracy is spreading

Leader of PPM’s parliamentary group, Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik has said that the democracy is not in any prison or jail cell in Maldives.

Speaking at a press conference at the PPM office this evening, Nihan said that there is proof that democracy is spreading efficiently.

“This proves that no democracy birth by any Maldivian mother is not in any prison, jail, or cell in any area of the country.” Nihan said.

The MP for the Vilimale’ constituents, Nihan said that it’s clear that the promises in President Yamin’s manifesto are being achieved.

Talking to the press, the Spokesperson for the President’s Office, Ibrahim Muaz said that today we are seeing an opposition party being destroyed by an infiltrating group and that is not what the government wants.

Referencing to the Aifushi Council by-election today, Muaz said that President Yamin sends his gratitude to the voters who supported PPM.
