Fire in Maamigili

A fire has taken place at a house in the island of Maamigili in Alif Dhaalu atoll.

The fire trucks from the Maamigili Airport were used to control the fire started in the kitchen of the house named “Silver”. And with the help from the locals, the Maamigli council has said that the fire has been controlled.

The Vice President of the Maamigli Council, Abdulla Mufeed told Sun Media that the fire started when a cooker in the kitchen caught fire.

Mufeed said that the ceiling of the kitchen also caught fire and everything in the kitchen has been burnt beyond use.
