Ministry of Law and Gender has said that efforts are ongoing to create job opportunities for people with disabilities.
In a press release on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day 2015, the ministry said that the government has made many decisions and taken several steps to facilitate jobs for people with disabilities, including people with autism, over the past year.
Despite the efforts by the government and NGOs, proper care and compassion cannot be guaranteed for people with disabilities without the united spirit and cooperation of everyone in the society, the ministry noted.
The ministry also said that it is everyone’s responsibility to take measures to ensure people with disabilities are included in the society.
The theme for World Autism Awareness Day 2015 is Employment: The Autism Advantage.
