Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has signed an agreement with Singapore’s Surbana International Consultants, for the appointment of independent engineers for the airport development project.
The agreement was signed by Managing Director of MACL Adil Moosa, and Deputy Managing Director of Surbana International Consultants Christopher Shugg, at a ceremony held at Hulhulé Island Hotel today (Thursday, 02 April 2015).
Adil Moosa said that independent engineers are required for reliable professional opinion regarding design, engineering, and progress, when implementing such large projects.
Surbana International Consultants, which also provide consultancy services to Singapore’s Changi Airport, will be involved in all projects related to airport development until its conclusion, said Adil.
The airport development project includes the construction of a new terminal, runway, apron, and cargo complex.
