Police publicized picture in relation to USD 40,000 theft

Police have publicised the picture of the suspect in the USD 40,000 theft from the office of Ocean Travels at the STO Trade Centre.

The picture publicised was of the 38-year-old Ahmed Jameel of S. Hithadhoo.

The Police have asked anyone one with information of his whereabouts to come forward.

The office of Ocean Travels at the STO Trade Centre was broken into on the night of 19 March with USD 40,000 missing from the safe. Police said that a 39-year-old local male was arrest on the morning of 23 March under a court order.
