Helpline established due to attacks on Bangladeshi citizens

After two attacks and the murder of a Bangladeshi citizen, the Bangladeshi High Commission in Maldives have established a 24-hour helpline.

News outlets in Bangladesh said that the number established by the High Commission in Maldives is 332 0859. And the number is active 24-hours and requests the Bangladeshi nationals to call the number.

The news outlets says, according to the Maldivian foreign ministry, that the Bangladeshi High Commission has brought the attacks on their nationals to the attention of President Abdulla Yamin and has urged the security of the Bangladeshi nationals in Maldives.

After the murder of a Bangladeshi national last Sunday, the attacks on Bangladeshi citizens have been on the rise.
