India: We truly look forward to participating in Special Economic Zone

Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives Rajeev Shahare has said that India truly looks forward to participating in the development of the Maldives' Special Economic Zone.

Shahare made this remark at an event at the Indian Cultural Centre this evening, Friday, 27 March 2015, to celebrate the golden jubilee of the Indian Technical and Educational Cooperation (ITEC) program.

“We are very closely studying the government’s policies, particularly the economic development part of it, where a new program has been set up – the Special Economic Zones. We truly look forward to participating in these programs,” said Shahare at tonight’s event.
