The Academy of the Dhivehi Language (Dhivehi Bahuge Academy) has been commissioned to give names to the individual dogs of the dog squad assembled by the police.
President of the Dhivehi Academy Ashraf Ali told Sun Online that police had made a request in this regard, and the work will begin shortly.
The dog squad has been named “Faaragema” by the Dhivehi Academy.
The dog squad’s arrival has been delayed from last night to tonight. Five out of 16 dogs will arrive tonight, and all the dogs will arrive before 27 March.
