Police says that no arrests have been made with the murder of the Bangladeshi waiter at “Lhiyanu Café” in the south-west harbor.
Responding to a question by Sun Media after 39 hours since the 24 year-old waiter Shahin Mia was murdered, a police media official said that no arrests have been made.
A witness to the crime told Sun Media that the murder was committed by four people who had their faces covered.
The café was vandalized before the murder took place.
Owner of the “Lhiyanu Café” Hussain Yasir said that around 5:30 p.m. yesterday a group of people came in to the café and asked if there were any cameras installed. And they came back around midnight and smashed the glass displays. And attack the waiter the early morning. The owner of the café said that the authorities were informed after each incident.
Regarding the case, the medial official said they the police were investigating the reports of vandalism the moment reports came in.
