EC: MDP has left the discussion table

Elections Commission (EC) has said that MDP left the discussions table when they were invited to discuss the infiltration of unknown people into MDP protests and causing violence and vandalising property.

A press release issued by the Elections Commission today said that MDP officials left the discussions EC and the Police regarding the vandalism and violence in the MDP protests.

The press release said that EC “plans” such discussions regarding the activities of political parties to bring a peaceful solution. And that EC is dispirited by the actions of MDP.
