President returns to the Maldives

President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom has returned to Maldives today after completing his official visit to Saudi Arabia.

Speaking at the airpoty, the President said that the Saudi Scholarship to Maldives have increased from 50 to a 100.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed said that the Saudi has increased the quota for the Maldivian Hajj Pilgrims by 1000, meaning a total of 2000 Maldivians can make the Hajj Pilgrimage per year.
