Hearings end on the trail of MP Nazim

Supreme Court ends the hearings on the trail of the MP for Dhiggaru constituents, Ahmed Nazim who has been charged with corruption for winning bids for four different projects through illict means.

In the final hearing in the case today, both parties presented their closing statements.

Nazim’s lawyer, Husnu Suood said in court today that there are no evidence of Nazim’s corruption or if he asked anyone to commit the said act of corruption and so requested the Supreme Court to overrule the verdict of guilty rules by High Court and the Criminal Court.

At the end of the hearing, Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed said that hearing would be arranged if the judges require more information
