Saudi and the Maldives hold talks about expanding the education opportunities to the Maldives

The President of Maldives Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom and the Saudi Minister of Education, Dr. Azzam bin Mohammed Al-Dakhil has discussed the expanding and increasing the education opportunities to the Maldives.

The Saudi Minister of Education visited the Maldivian President in Riyadh.

As part of the President’s official visit to Saudi Arabia, officials of the Saudi government who visited the President Yamin includes the Saudi Minister of Defence, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi, Minister of Finance, Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and Minister of Islamic Affairs, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdulaziz Al-AsShaikh.

The ministers shared the work of their respective institutes with the President of Maldives in these individual meetings and discussed the fields to strengthen the ties between the two countries.

Presdident Yamin has discussed increasing Saudi investors in Maldives in his visit to Saudi Arabia.

The official talks between the two countries discussed the historic friendship of the two countries and Saudi’s role in the development of Maldives. Also among the topics of discussion were government’s efforts to strengthen the Maldivian economy and increasing the number of Saudi investors in Maldives. And working with the Saudi Arabia to strengthen the unity of Islam was also discussed.
