Man arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse of stepdaughter

A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse of his stepdaughter.

The police spokesperson told Sun Online that the 48-year-old man was arrested under an arrest warrant at 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police have not provided any details.

Sources have told Sun Online that the arrest was made in an island in Thiladhummathi Atoll, and the girl’s age is 13.

In a separate incident, a 46-year-old man was arrested in Gaafu Alifu Atoll last Monday, for sexual abuse of a 7-year-old girl.
