Tourist siblings drowns

Two Chinese siblings on vacation to Kaafu. Maafushi has drowned.

A citizen of Maafushi told Sun Media that the two tourists went to the nearby Fihalhohi Resort yesterday and drowned at the beach.

“The information says that one got caught in a strong current and the other one went to save him. And they both drowned.”The man said.

Their bodies have been brought to IGM hospital. The hospital’s media coordinator said that they died in the drowning and they were dead on arrival.

Sources say that the two drowned are sister of 21 years and 28 years old who went to Maafushi on Thursday.
