Suspected bomber arrested at the airport

A suspected bomber has been arrested Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) yesterday evening.

Police media officials told Sun Media last night that a 42 year-old local male was arrested at the airport for claiming to have explosives in his possession. The man was handed over to Police by MNDF.

The Information Officer of MNDF Adnaan Mohamed told Sun Media that a man at the departure terminal told an Airport Officer that he was carrying explosives. And the Airport Officer reported to MNDF.

“We searched him immediately in the terminal. But since he didn’t have anything like that, we handed him to the Police.” Adnaan said
