Protesters from the airport released under the condition not to take part in rallies for two months

The man and 14 women who participated in the protest demonstration at the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) yesterday has been released under the condition that they do not take part in any rallies for two months.

Police media officials spoke to Sun Media today saying that they were released last night when they were taken to court to extend the duration of their custody.

Some news channels showed live images of their protest calling for the release of the former president Mohamed Nasheed who is charged with terrorism. The images showed the protesters with their signs at the airport.

The Maldivian law does not allow protest rallies to be held at the airport.
