A fire erupted at Mulhadhoo last night

A fire erupted in H.A. Mulhadhoo last night. There were no reported injuries to anyone.

President of Mulhadhoo Island Council Ahmed Ashraf talked to Sun Media today saying that the fire started around 8:15 p.m. last night. The fire was at an area cleared to build a football stadium and it was extinguished by the fire team of JA Manafaru resort.

“The fire started in the early evening. The school is also in that area. But that area is cleared to build a football stadium.” Ashraf said.

HR Manager of JA Manafaru resort Ibrahim Shiraj said to Sun Media today that the resort’s fire team went to Mulhadhoo around 8:30 p.m. to control the fire.

“By the time the fire was controlled it was past 12. No place or person was hurt. But the flames were very big. Three separate areas caught fire.” Ashraf said.
