Dr. Shameem: Discipline is the most important part of education

Member of the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) Dr. Ali Shameem says that discipline is the most important aspect of education and with knowledge alone, one cannot achieve an education.

Speaking at the affirmation ceremony for the senior school posts of Majeedhiyya School, Dr. Shameem said that 50 percent of a good education is discipline.

“Studying, or an education is not just receiving knowledge. But discipline when studying is the most important thing. 50 percent of success is a good discipline. Then one would advance. But you must have a strong resolve to do that. Work together with everyone.” He said.

Dr. Shameem said that while we know that discipline is important to education, some parents still neglect the importance of it.

While the senior posts have been filled, the honorable position of School Captain went to Mishal Mohamed Naeem this year. And the post of Deputy Captain went to Rahul Abdul Samad and Mohamed Nabith.
