The president’s office says that President Yameen Abdulla intends to reveal the discussion he had with the leader of Adhaalath Party Sheikh Imran Abdulla.
Spokesperson of the President’s Office Ibrahim Muaz said to Sun Media today that the president intends to reveal the topics of discussion from the meeting with the officials of Adhaalath Party if Sheikh Imran has no objections to it.
And a letter has been sent to the sheikh saying the same has been sent out today.
Muaz said that the president has such intentions because Imran accused the government of acting outside constitution and the Islamic Sharia after the meeting where no mention of such things came from Imran.
After the meeting, Sheikh Imran talked to the medias saying he requested to meet the president to raise concerns regarding the political situation in the country.
Later that night, Imran said that the actions of the government as of late are making the people uneasy. He said the government has narrowed the constitutional rights of the people and acts of corruption are taking place openly within the government.
