Maldivian acquires fifth seaplane

The fifth seaplane acquired by national airline, Maldivian, has arrived in the country on Friday.

Head of Administration of Maldivian Ali Nashath told Sun Online that the aircraft will commence operations in about ten days.

He added that a sixth seaplane, also a DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft, would arrive within the week.

Maldivian operates scheduled seaplane flights to Thaa atoll, Baa atoll, and Dhaalu atoll; and chartered flights to many atolls including Haa Alifu atoll.
