Tourists arrive on Maldivian

199 tourists have arrived in the Maldives on national airline Maldivian’s first direct flight between Xian and Malé.

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) spokesperson told Sun Online that the tourists were greeted at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport by a boduberu performance.

Tourist arrivals from China has reached 363,626 so far this year, and is expected to increase significantly with Maldivian’s decision to operate flights to new destinations in China.

In addition to Xian, Maldivian has recently commenced flights to Nanjing and Changsha.
