Teacher accused of sexually abusing students arrested

A male teacher of Shaviyani Noomaraa School has been arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse of students of that school.

The 30 year old Maldivian teacher was arrested by police under warrant issued by the court.

President of Noomaraa Council Ahmed Vishan said to Sun Online that they have come to know about the teacher for sexually molesting girls of the school through parents.

According to Vishan, the teacher who has been arrested has taught different subjects for primary and secondary students.
