President nominates Ahmed Saleem as Maldivian High Commissioner to Pakistan

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has proposed Ahmed Saleem as the High Commissioner of the Maldives to Pakistan, for approval by the parliament.

This follows the appointment of Moosa Ali Jaleel, who held the post of Maldivian High Commissioner to Pakistan, as Minister of Defence on 20 January 2015.

Saleem has previously served as President of Human Rights Commission, and Secretary-General of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
