Mohamed Rasheed appointed Assistant Managing Director of Hithadhoo Port

Hithadhoo-Medhu MP Mohamed Rasheed (Matrix Mode) has been appointed as the Assistant Managing Director of Hithadhoo Port.

This has been confirmed to Sun Online by the spokesperson for Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), who also denied reports that Mohamed Rasheed had been appointed as Deputy CEO of MPL.

Mohamed Rasheed was elected to the parliament as a member of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP). He defected to ruling party Progressive Party of Maldives in December 2013.

He was prosecuted for the vandalism on Gan Police Station, during the unrest on 8 February 2012.
