Mother arrested for abusing four-year-old daughter in Eydhafushi

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of abusing her four-year-old daughter.

The police spokesperson told Sun Online that the 27-year-old woman was arrested in Baa Eydhafushi last night, following a case reported by Baa Atoll Family and Children’s Service Centre.

The island court has given four days as detention period for the suspect, said police.

Eydhafushi Council was unavailable for a comment at the time of publication.
