Fenaka Corporation fined MVR 150

Civil Court has fined Fenaka Corporation MVR 150 for failure to reinstate an individual to his previous post, as ordered by the Employment Tribunal.

The ruling came in relation to the reinstatement of Hussain Hameed, Nivai, Haa Alifu Kelaa.

The court said that despite Fenaka Corporation’s claim that Hameed had been reinstated to his former post, a letter from Upper North Utilities Limited proved to the court that this had not been done.

The court fined Fenaka Corporation under Article 88 of the Penal Code, and also ordered it to reinstate Hameed to his former post.
