Company ordered to pay MVR 145,000 following tax evasion

Global Crown Private Limited has been ordered by Civil Court to pay MVR 145,098, including fines, after it failed to pay tax to the government for the safari boat Princess Dhonkamana.

The sentence was issued against Ibnitthasiu Mustafa, Haveeree Ufaa, Gaafu Dhaalu Fiyoari.

The court ordered Global Crown Private Limited to pay $2,072 as Bed Tax and MVR 65,000 as fines to Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) within four months, and to submit the Tax Sheet for November 2014 for Princess Dhonkamana within 30 days.
