Education Ministry: 18,000 students will perform Salath-ul-Fajr in congregation in Male'

Education Ministry said that over 18,000 students of Male’ schools will participate in tomorrow’s Salatu-ul-Fajr (Dawn Prayer) in congregation on the occasion of Maldives Embraced Islam Day.

Minister of State for Education Dr. Abdulla Nazeer said to Sun Online that students of all schools of Maldives will perform Dawn Prayer in congregation on Friday morning in Friday Mosque of every island. Nazeer noted that students of Male’ schools will perform Dawn Prayer at Islamic Center and Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed will lead as Imam of the congregation.

“Students of Male’ will perform the prayer in Islamic Center, outside the center, roads nearby and in Jumhooree Midhaan. Second floor of Islamic Center is for girl” said Nazeer.

He requested all the students, their parents and teachers to join in the congregation of Dawn Prayer on Friday.

Ministry said that they have got assistance from Police, Health Ministry, Islamic Ministry, Home Ministry and Dhivehi Red Crescent in arranging Dawn Prayer in congregation for students.

According to Police, that Roads adjacent to Islamic Center will be closed at the time of Friday’s Dawn Prayer.
