The High Commission of India in the Maldives has announced several activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the bilateral relations between India and Maldives.
The celebrations were announced by Indian High Commissioner Rajeev Shahare at a press conference held at Traders Hotel today, which was also joined by the sponsors for these events.
Shahare said that January would be celebrated as Bollywood month, starting with a film festival on 20 January. This will be followed by a performance by Ferriswheel Entertainment - a twenty-member troop from Mumbai - at the Alimas Carnival grounds.
Other activities include an art exhibition organised by the Indian High Commission in cooperation with the Indian Council for Cultural Arts, and a ‘Bollywood Quiz’.
Activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the India-Maldives relations were also held in 2014.
