Woman who went to meet husband in prison arrested for intoxication

A woman who went to meet her husband in private at Asseyri Prison in Hinmafushi has been arrested for being in intoxicated condition.

An Official of Maldives Correctional Services has said to Sun Online that the woman has been arrested on suspicion of being in intoxicated condition and she has been handed over to police.

Police Media Official said that a 51 year old Maldivian woman was arrested over such a case and the case is under investigation. The woman tested positive for drugs, said Police Media Official.
