Calendar including components of New Curriculum introduced

National Institute of Education (NIE) has introduced a special calendar with components of National New Curriculum aiming to familiarize parents and the community on the New Curriculum, which would be implemented with the Academic Year 2015.

Adam Shareef Umar, the Minister of State for Education and the Head of NIE has introduced the calendar in an event held at NIE on Wednesday.

The calendar contains important components of the National Curriculum including key competencies, principles and the academic calendar 2015.

State Minister Shareef said that the calendar is not for sale and that each school would receive a specific number of calendars to be distributed. However, if there is demand, calendars can be printed for sale by talking with a publisher, said Shareef.
