Adeeb: Priyanka and Akon will join tomorrow

Minister of Tourism Ahmed Adeeb has said that Indian movie star Priyanka Chopra and American hip hop and R&B artist Akon would join the Tourist Arrival Countdown (TAC) Music Festival tomorrow night.

He confirmed this on Twitter this morning.

It is not yet known if the artists have arrived in the Maldives.

Show organiser, Chopart, said earlier that any confirmation about foreign stars’ appearance at the show would be announced on Facebook.

Indian artist Salim-Sulaiman performed in the Maldives on New Year’s Eve, after efforts to invite Jamaican dancehall artist Sean Paul were unsuccessful.
