Arnoud Van Doorn accepts invitation to visit Maldives

Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has invited Netherlands’ film producer Arnoud Van Doorn who accepted Islam after producing a movie insulting Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) to visit Maldives.

In a twitter message posted on Saturday, Minister Shaheem has thanked Arnoud for accepting invitation and has revealed that Arnoud would deliver a sermon regarding the reasons why he had converted into Islam.

Arnoud Van Doorn was a Parliament Member of Netherlands in 2008 and was the producer of the movie “Fitna”.

Protests in many Islamic countries were held regarding the movie produced by Arnoud that insulted Prophet Mohamed (PBUH).

However, Arnoud, after performing Hajj pilgrimage, has expressed disappointment for having involved in producing “Fitna”. Arnoud’s eldest son has accepted Islam last year.
