President Yameen: Purpose of celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi is to emulate the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom has said that the main purpose celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi is to emulate the life and teachings of Prophet Mohammed.

In a message to convey greetings to the people of the Maldives on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has said that the Holy Prophet was the example for all Muslims to follow and he urged the people to emulate the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, and to strengthen unity and harmony.

President has also sent greetings of this auspicious day to the leaders of Islamic countries, Islamic organizations and the entire Muslim Ummah.
