Maldivian obtains Class A Audit License

A Maldivian has received a Class A Audit license for the first time.

Class A Auditing Certificate was awarded to Fareeha Shareef by the Auditor General Hassan Ziyath in an event held at Audit Office on Thursday.

According to FJS Associates, Fareeha is Co-Founder and a senior member at that associates. She is also a member of ACCA, which is approved by International Federation of Accounts. She has obtained ACCA practicing license certificate in 2011.

While Fareeha has been awarded with the Class A Auditing License, most of the Auditors with Class A Auditing License in Maldives at present are Indian and Sri Lankans.

Currently in Maldives, five expatriates who hold A Grade License work in three audit firms. Those Audit Firms are; Pricewaterhouse Coopers, KPMG and ENY.
