Foundation laid for mosque in Keyodhoo

A ceremony has been held to lay the foundation stone for Masjid al Zaid bin Saabit in Vaavu Keyodhoo.

The foundation stone was laid by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, the visiting Imam of the Central Mosque of Kuwait, and Executive Director of Alia Construction Alau Ali.

The mosque is funded by the Kuwait Central Mosque Imam ($300,000) and Alau Ali (MVR 1.8 million).
