Geela Ali appointed Additional Secretary of Foreign Ministry

Geela Ali has been appointed as the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She has served as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health since 2010.

Geela said that she was transferred to Foreign Ministry yesterday, following her request.

Additional Secretary of Foreign Ministry is a political post.

Following the transfer, Director General of Ministry of Health Dr Sheeza Ali is presently also the Acting Permanent Secretary of Health Ministry.

Geela will take up her appointment as Additional Secretary of Foreign Ministry on Sunday.
