Health Ministry advises to take precautions against dengue fever

Due to increase in dengue fever in these days in the country, Health Ministry has advised to put effort on reducing mosquitoes.

In a media alert issued by Health Ministry, it was stated that this period of the year was recorded as most dengue fever cases being reported according to the statistics of Health Protection Agency (HPA).

In order to take precautions from dengue fever, Health Ministry has advised to take proper actions to reduce mosquitoes.

Health Ministry has recommended some of the precautions against dengue fever in Health Alert issued. In that regard, it was advised the public to treat and remove any uncovered places that might accumulate and stagnate water that would allow breeding of mosquitos. It was also suggested to use covered dustbins to put garbage.
