Survey on Maldivians

Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has decided to conduct Maldivians Travelling Abroad Survey for Maldivians who return to Maldives from abroad in order to accumulate statistical data on the economic transections between Maldivians and other countries.

In a statement released by MMA on Tuesday, it was stated that this survey would be carried out at Arrival Hall of Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA).

Data related to expenses of Maldivians on various purposes in abroad would be collected from 25 – 30 December 2014. According to MMA’s statement, expenditure on the main purpose of the trip, ticket, food, accommodation, medical treatment and the total amount spent on the whole trip would be collected in this survey.

The statement read that personal information such as name and address would not be collected in this survey.

MMA has requested Maldivians who arrive in Maldives within this period of time to give their full cooperation on Maldivians Travelling Abroad Survey. Maldivians Travelling Abroad Survey is conducted by MMA annually.
