As the water crisis that hit Malé, the capital of the Maldives, continues, Health Protection Agency (HPA) has established a hotline to help the people with public health enquiries.
HPA said today that any persons who wish to ask a question regarding health issues that could arise due to the water crisis would have to call 7644449, and that the hotline would be operated from 08:00 hrs. until 23:00 hrs. today.
HPA is trying to address public health issues and prevent an epidemic, as reports say that some have opted to risky ways of saving and using water. Today’s hotline, according to HPA, is part of its prevention program.
