Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has said that supply of water would be disconnected due to fire incident at the company.
An Official of MSWC said today to Sun Online that water would be disconnected in a while. He said that service would be provided as soon as the problem is solved, but did not mention when the service would be resumed.
“We apologies the inconvenience that could be faced to public due to disconnection of water supply” said the Official.
Official of MWSC said that however they don’t know the exact time to provide the service, their assumption is to provide water within two hours. He added that they were trying to get the electricity required to provide water facility to public with the help of State Electric Company (STELCO)
Official said that water could be supplied at very low pressure although water is connected.
“Water would be supplied at low pressure. We cannot say when this will be solved” said the Official.
A generator and the panel board at MWSC have caught fire. However it has been controlled now.
