Mohamed Hamdhan, 28, M. Hard Rock, Male’, who went missing in Malaysia in June 2014, has been found in Thailand.
Maldivian High Commissioner for Malaysia Mohamed Fayaz told Sun Online that Hamdhan went to the Maldivian Consulate in Thailand yesterday, following which the consulate contacted the Maldivian High Commission in Malaysia.
Fayaz said that the reason for his disappearance and his business in Thailand remain unknown.
“We have been told that he has been found. A representative of the Maldivian High Commission in Malaysia will visit him today. More information will be received then,” said Fayaz.
Hamdhan went missing after he checked-in at the airport to travel to Male’ from Malaysia, after completing a course in Malaysia.
The Maldivian High Commission in Malaysia in cooperation with the Malaysian Police launched a search operation after he was reported missing by his family.
