Minister of External Affairs of India: India committed to security and stability of Maldives

Indian External Affairs Minister reaffirmed that strong commitment would be given for stability, prosperity and security of Maldives by India.

India’s Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj said this on Monday at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport during the transit visit to Maldives after the completion of her official visit to Mauritius. In a meeting held with Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon at Hulhule Island Hotel, Minister Sushma said that India gave high significance to stability, development, safety and protection of Maldives.

Minister of External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj extended Victory Day greetings to Minister Dunya and all the citizens of Maldives.

Indian High Commission in Maldives said that both ministers discussed about the relations and regarding the ongoing projects between India and Maldives. High Commission noted that this year was celebrated as the 50 years of India-Maldives Diplomatic Relations.

Ambassador of India to the Maldives Rajeev Shahare, Joint Secretary of Ministry of External Affairs Suchitra Durai and senior officials from Foreign Ministry and High Commission participated in the meeting.
